<div>Gwen,</div>

<div>Thanks for taking time to talk last night. It was good to be able to discuss the various aspects around record supply to DPLA and their requirement for records and CC0. Based upon our discussion, I think we landed that OCLC could offer two level of services
to the Ohio libraries. One would simply ingest their metadata, do some minor ‘clean-up’ and then we would format the records for delivery to DPLA. These records would have a CC0 designation. The second offering would allow us to add additional metadata
elements to the record which would not be passed to DPLA, but we would provide back to the library to enhance their local records. In both cases, the records would go into WorldCat for discovery by libraries around the world and in the second case the records
would be CCBY in the WorldCat database.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Based upon this discussion, we are comfortable with moving forward with our discussion. We still need to work through our business model and get you a response on that part within the next two weeks. I also need to follow up and find out what would happen
to a libraries’ record after the pilot, should they decide not to participate, specifically, was there any obligation on the libraries part to OCLC going forward.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Good luck with your meeting today and please let me know if there are any further questions that arise from this meeting.</div>
