[SOA] University of Toledo Wins SAA Award

The Ward Canaday Center for Special Collections at the University of Toledo 
was presented the 2009 Philip M. Hamer-Elizabeth Hamer Keegan Award by the 
Society of American Archivists (SAA) at the group's annual meeting last 
week. Barbara Floyd received the award which "recognizes an 
individual,organization, or group of individuals, organizations, and 
institutions who have increased public awareness of manuscripts and 
archives through compilation, transcription, public presentation, 
exhibition, or publication." Toledo won for its exhibit and publication 
"From Institution to Independence: A History of People with Disabilities in 
Northwest Ohio" last year. Way to go, Barb and colleagues at Toledo!
