The Ohio Heritage Partnership is a collaborative effort of the State
Library of Ohio and the Ohio Historical Society, with project support
from the Intermuseum Conservation Association and is funded by an
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Connecting to
Collections Statewide Preservation Planning Grant.

In January 2010, the Connecting to Collections survey was distributed to
over 800 institutions statewide responsible for preserving Ohio's
cultural heritage.

We are inviting you and other key decision-makers from Ohio's cultural
heritage institutions to attend a Summit meeting to discuss the findings
of the Connecting to Collections project, and future directions for
preservation in the State of Ohio. The Summit will be held May 7, 2010
at the OCLC -- Online Computer Library Center, in Dublin from 10:00 -
3:00.

At the Summit you will hear preliminary results of the survey. More
importantly you will be asked to assist the partners in prioritizing the
strategic goals and initiatives to be included in the Ohio Heritage
Strategic Plan. To that end, when you register, we ask that you select
two focus groups to attend to provide us with your thoughts and ideas as
we move forward. We hope to use comments from the Summit and the
Strategic Plan as planning documents for the preparation of a Connecting
to Collections Implementation grant.

The day will begin with a keynote by Wes Cowan, of Cowan's Auctions, but
more notable for his roles on PBS's Antiques Roadshow and History
Detectives.

We invite you and your primary preservation, conservation or collections
care staff member to attend this educational and informative day. View
