Registration for the sixth annual Midwest CONTENTdm Users Group begins Monday August 15th. 

A discounted "Early Bird" rate of $50 will be available through September 23rd ($65 thereafter).

Rachel Howard, of the University of Louisville Libraries, has been confirmed as our keynote speaker - and CONTENTdm Product Manager, Phyllis Kaiden, will be on hand to present the CONTENTdm update session.

The planning committee is also STILL SOLICITING PROPOSALS for presentations. Please consider participating in 2011 as a speaker or as part of a panel discussion. The meeting can't be successful without your great presentations about CONTENTdm!

DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO AUGUST 31, 2011.

Possible topics include: 
* Experiences with CONTENTdm Version 6
* Collection Customizations, such as website redesign, other technical aspects
* Metadata Standards: migrating, harvesting, repurposing, Unicode
* Oral Histories: file management; rights, transcription and maintenance
* Building text collections: institutional repositories, EAD, newspapers, yearbooks
* Rights management
* System integration and interoperability: CONTENTdm collections in the institutional landscape, (linking to website, RSS feed, meta-searches, API)
* Tips and tricks for using CONTENTdm
* Video projects
* Workflow: staffing and project management models
