[SOA] House Bill 139

Happy Monday!

The bill that the County Archivists and Records Managers Association (CARMA) started working on over five years ago to lift access restrictions on historical records with a permanent retention, after 100 years finally has a bill number! Sponsor testimony is scheduled for tomorrow, April 25, 2017, and public testimony could begin any time after that.

We have also started a Facebook page<https://www.facebook.com/groups/603608479835480/> to keep everyone updated on the status of the bill.  Please feel free to join and spread the word far and wide about our page and the bill.
