for Special Collections. This position is a full-time, two-year, non-tenure
track visiting position that holds the rank of Visiting Instructor of Library
Administration. The position is coordinated by the University Archivist and
Director of the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Ward</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">M.</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Canaday</st1:PlaceName>

by the chair of the library faculty.<o:p></o:p></p>

12.0pt'>The Digital Initiatives Archivist will primarily be responsible for the
investigation of methods for developing and managing digital collections in the
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Canaday</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>, including drafting policies,
procedures, and best practices for digital collections. Will also provide
advice to other university constituencies on developing and managing digital
assets, including the Mulford Library on UT’s Health Sciences Campus. The
position will assume responsibility for content development for <st1:City
w:st="on">Toledo</st1:City>’s Attic, a virtual museum to 20<sup>th</sup>
century <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Toledo</st1:City></st1:place>
history, in coordination with the project’s community partners. In
coordination with the university archivist, will also investigate and recommend
policies and procedures for the preservation and management of the
university’s electronic records. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
