<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">The Special Projects Archivist will perform general professional archival duties and provide reference support for researchers. The Special Projects Archivist will also participate as a professional team member in special projects relating to the areas of collection development, institutional initiatives, and commemorative programs that will enhance the AJA’s work as a center for the study of the American Jewish experience.</FONT></B></P>

<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">1. Arrange manuscript materials and prepare archival finding aids</FONT></B></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">2. Catalog archival collections using MARC cataloguing standards</FONT></B></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">3. Provide reference service for researchers</FONT></B></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">4. Perform research activities for historical and programmatic initiatives</FONT></B></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">5. Search out commemorative opportunities and assist in special institutional initiatives for the advancement of the AJA and its collection.</FONT></B></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">6. Assist with special projects that serve to promulgate the collection and the historical resources of the AJA</FONT></B></P>

<P><B><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">1. Knowledge of the basics of archival processing and preparation of archival finding aids</FONT></SPAN></B>

<BR><B><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">3. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively</FONT></SPAN></B>

<P><B><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</FONT></SPAN></B>

<P><SPAN LANG="en-gb"><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman">A masters’ degree in history or library science that includes specialized cour</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman">se work in archival administration from an</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-gb"> <FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman">accredited university and at least one year’s experience working in an archives..</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN></P>
