Education Stipend Scholarship for attendance at "Archival Access &
Accessibility: Tradition & Technology" at the Ohio Historical Society in
Columbus, Ohio on May 20-22, 2009<BR><BR><BR>Two applicants will be selected to
receive a stipend of $100 to cover travel/hotel accommodations and free
registration to the conference. <BR><BR><BR>Eligibility is open to all current
SOA members and to all graduate students pursuing a career in archives.
<BR><BR>Applications will be rated based on:<BR><BR>1. A written statement
describing how attending the annual conference<BR>will benefit future career
goals or his/her current professional<BR>position<BR>2. A biographical sketch
listing accomplishments, research interests and<BR>future plans <BR>3.
Applicant's scholarship and contribution to archives, in comparison<BR>with
his/her number of years in the field or academic study<BR>4. Applicant's level
of financial support for attending the conference <BR><BR>Applications are due
by 5:00 p.m. on May 1, 2009. The recipients are<BR>expected to attend two days
of the conference and will be recognized at<BR>the SOA Business Meeting.
Also, both recipients will be asked to write<BR>an article in the Ohio Archivist
reflecting on their experiences at the<BR>conference.<BR><BR>Please e-mail, fax,
