Tracked down information about an elusive ancestor? Found OHS staff to be particularly helpful with your research? Please share your story. OHS is participating in the Society of American Archivist’s <i>I Found It In the Archives!</i> program. <b>We are extending the contest deadline to Monday, February 7, 2011, for the submission of a 400 word essay <u>or</u> video describing the information item found and how it impacted your research.</b> Send your stories by e-mail to <u><a href="mailto:archivescontest@ohiohistory.org">archivescontest@ohiohistory.org</a></u> or US mail them to: Ohio Historical Society, ATTN: Lisa Long, 1982 Velma Ave., Columbus, OH, 43211. After online voting, a winner will be announced on February 23. The prize package includes a one year annual membership to OHS; a voucher for a free genealogy workshop at the Ohio Historical Center in 2011; and a behind the scenes tour of the Center’s archives storage area in Columbus. The winning entry will be submitted to the Society of American Archivists national competition.
