September marks the 10<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. It is an
event that has impacted all of us and shaped our lives in many ways. We would
like to use this occasion to stop and reflect on what has happened and what it
means. The Center for the History of Psychology (CHP) has planned two very
special events to commemorate the 10<sup>th</sup> anniversary of 9/11. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 8pt; font-family: "Tahoma","sans-serif"; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Tahoma","sans-serif"; color: black;">The
first is a half-day public program, free and open to the public, titled <i>Resilience
and Remembrance: 9/11 Ten Years Later</i>. Speakers include experts and first
responders who will offer reflections and lessons learned from those dark days
10 years ago. Later that day the Center will unveil a public exhibition titled <i>Resilience
and Remembrance: Reflections on War, Trauma and Peace</i>. The exhibit will
include artifacts and objects from Ground Zero and will be complemented by
materials from the holdings of the Center. Included will be an oral history
booth where visitors can record their impressions and reactions to the events
of 9/11. This powerful and moving exhibit will be on public display until March
31, 2012. </span></p>
