<p class="MsoNormal">Kathleen Roe and the SAA office have received a number of queries from members about recent news that the State Historical Society of Iowa is facing drastic budget cuts that could compromise access to the state’s historical record. Kathleen
has been in touch with several colleagues from Iowa to determine what they think SAA might do to assist. While expressing their appreciation for the interest expressed by SAA and its constituent groups, they suggest that – for now – we promote participation
in an online petition being circulated by University of Iowa Professor Tyler Priest:<u></u><u></u></p>
