<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div>Dear all (and apologies for cross posting)<br></div><div><br></div><div>The deadline for nominees for co-chair of the ALAO Special Collections and Archives Interest Group (SCAIG) has been extended to <b>May 27, 2022</b>. If you are interested, please read below and contact current co-chairs, Henry Handley (<a href="mailto:hhandley1@udayton.edu" target="_blank">hhandley1@udayton.edu</a>) and Josh Zeller (<a href="mailto:Joshua.Zeller@msj.edu" target="_blank">Joshua.Zeller@msj.edu</a>) with questions!</div><div><br></div>Beginning in July 2022, the new co-chair will work with current co-chair, Josh Zeller, to promote archives and special collections, as well as develop new professional development opportunities for fellow members of this community. The term is for 2 years, staggered with the other co-chair term, and runs July-June. Self-nominations are welcome! Nominees must be a member of both ALAO and SCAIG.<br><br>Duties of co-chairs include:<br><ul><li>Programming the annual SCAIG workshop/conference with a planning committee</li><li>Attending the annual ALAO board retreat/training and quarterly virtual meetings with fellow IG chairs and the ALAO IG coordinator</li><li>Attending the ALAO annual meeting to engage with interest group members</li><li>Submitting quarterly reports to the board</li><li>Submitting updates to the ALAO Newsletter</li><li>Updating SCAIG’s web page</li><li>Managing the SCAIG Google Group list</li></ul>With the planned return of the annual ALAO conference to an in-person venue, there are additional potential opportunities to contribute to the conference with special collections and archives colleagues.<br><div><br></div><div>If you are interested, please send a short (no more than 500 words) statement of interest to the co-chairs,
