Archives and Libraries, in collaboration with and at the direction of
the College Archivist, in archival functions including accessioning,
arrangement and description of college records and personal collections,
digitization, maintenance of digital collections, preservation,
curation of digital and physical exhibits, reference, and the
facilitation of object-based learning and interpretation in support of
instruction. The position also entails training and supervision of
interns and student assistants.<br class=""><br class="">
</div><div class="">The Associate Archivist serves in a key role in the Archive’s
program to preserve digital assets and electronic records, including
the building of a long-term strategy for maintaining and providing
access to these records. The incumbent participates in the Oberlin
College Libraries’ initiatives to support digital projects and
scholarship. This is a twelve-month Administrative and Professional
