Even libraries reflect this new reality; it's no longer unusual to see <a href="https://www.google.com/search?ei=qB8FXIiQMYbCjgSciZ74CQ&q=data+driven+decision+making+libraries+continuing+education&oq=data+driven+decision+making+libraries+continuing+&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.33i299.1658.6572..8157...0.0..0.120.1166.8j4......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i22i30j33i22i29i30j33i160.3SOOsapbm6I" target="_blank">CE sessions or research papers</a> on collecting, interpreting and even delivering data in libraries. <a href="https://www.proquest.com/blog/pqblog/2016/A-Librarians-Guide-to-Becoming-Data-Driven.html" target="_blank">Decision making</a>, using collected data, is now an expected norm. <br><br>While using data to drive action is no longer a new concept, it may not have occurred to most of us that data is usually generated asynchronously. First, the data is collected, then action is considered. What if that data was being produced in <em>real time</em>? How would businesses, organizations and even libraries change how they operate if their customer and patron data was being created instantaneously? <br><br>We probably won't have to wonder much longer. Real-time data isn't coming: it's already here and growing. Welcome to the datasphere of the twenty-first century.</p><ul>

As such, the study published in <em>Nature Energy</em> suggests that these sort of meters could cut residential water use. "</li>
