Xenia Tornado and Ohioans with Animals Featured Scrapbooks
Ohio Memory is featuring two new scrapbooks for April. The first commemorates the 30th anniversary of the devastating F5 tornado that struck Xenia and surrounding areas on April 4, 1974. The online exhibit features the collections of the Ohio Historical Society, the Greene County Historical Society and the Greene County Public Library. It includes eyewitness accounts of the tornado and its aftermath, as well photographs of the damage. A six-pack of Budweiser Drinking Water Cans documents the contributions of the Budweiser Company of Cincinnati, who sent unlabeled beer cans filled with water for the relief effort.

A second featured scrapbook documents Ohioans and Animals. Items include a photograph of Laddie Boy, President Warren G. Harding's Airedale terrier who reportedly had his own chair at cabinet meetings. Also included are James Thurber's story, "The Dog That Bit People" and a painting of horse-trainer John S. Rarey and his horse Cruiser. View the featured scrapbooks online at: http://www.ohiomemory.org/exhibits.html

Who is It?
Also new to Ohio Memory is the "Who is It?" game. See if you can name these famous Ohioans! Test your skill with five levels that increase in difficulty. View the Who is It? game at http://www.ohiomemory.org/whoisit.html
