Ohio E-Check Program Gets New Web Address

Ohio EPA is introducing a simpler, shorter and easier to remember web
address for Ohioans who need information about the E-Check program:
www.ohioecheck.org.
At the E-Check website, Ohioans can find information about the new OBD
II test; the treadmill test performed on cars older than 1996; station
locations and hours; waivers, extensions and exemptions; Ohio EPA
E-Check field office locations; repair industry issues; and the E-Check
annual reports.
When the new address is entered, users are redirected to Ohio EPA's
E-Check website. Customers can also still reach the site by checking on
the E-Check link on the left row bar of Ohio EPA's main web page:
www.epa.state.oh.us .
The Ohio E-Check program began in 1996. It identifies and encourages
repairs of vehicles emitting high levels of pollution and is part of
Ohio's plan for reducing air pollution. Automobiles and light trucks are
responsible for up to 45 percent of hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxide
emissions, the main components of ground-level ozone.
