Better Sleep Month - April's Feature

We spend about 1/3 of our life sleeping but for many of us it doesn't feel
like we ever get any.  Sleep or rather a lack thereof is a common complaint
today. What can you do to get a better night's sleep? You can start by going
to NetWellness. Experts in Sleep Disorders can help start you on the path
towards better sleep.

Columbus Children's Department of Urology - Department of the Month

Columbus Children's Hospital Department of Urology provides comprehensive
diagnostic and therapeutic services for children of all ages and teens with
diseases of the genitourinary tract including consultations for urinary
tract abnormalities detected in utero. Services range from primary urologic
care to major reconstructive surgery of the urinary tract, genitalia and
urinary sphincter. Surgical staff support team includes a stoma therapist, a
nurse clinician and urodynamic technical and nursing staff. Diagnostic
facilities include a complete urodynamics laboratory.

Children's Hospital Urology Department provides outreach & support services
by hosting support groups for bladder exstrophy and major urological
disorders.
 
Dr. Venkata Jayanthi, a pediatric urology expert at Columbus Children's
Hospital, is available through NetWellness' "Ask an Expert" program to
answer questions about children's urinary and genital problems.

*	Esa M. Davis, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Department of Family
Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and University
Hospitals of Cleveland, joins the teams of experts answering questions on
Pregnancy, Obesity and Weight Management, and Diet and Nutrition. Dr. Davis'
research interests include weight gain and weight loss around pregnancy and
the postnatal period. 
*	Laurie S. Sadler, MD, FACP, Medical Director, Lipid Research Center,
St. Vincent Charity Hospital, and Assistant Professor, Department of
Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and her team,
Mary K. Griffith, CRNP, MSN, Nurse Practitioner, Ellen C. Ospelt, RN, BS,
Outreach Coordinator, Ann J. Hornsby, MEd, RD, LD, PC, Dietitian, are
joining our other experts answering questions on Diabetes. They have
particular expertise in how diabetes, high blood pressure, and high
cholesterol are related.

Several new articles have been added to NetWellness.

Program Director of Human Nutrition in the College of Human Ecology at The

*	"'Tis the Season for Grilling" by Bonnie Brehm, PhD, RD,  Assistant
Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati.
*	"Soft Drinks...Worth the Calories?" by Bonnie Brehm, PhD, RD,
Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of
Cincinnati.
	
Kidney Disease Updates

Philip W. Hall, 3rd, MD, Professor of Medicine Emeritus, in the School of
Medicine at Case Western Reserve University has provide new information
about the signs and symptoms of kidney disorders, transplantation, and much
more in the Kidney Disease area of NetWellness.

Mini Medical School 

Mini Medical Schools are offered to the general public at the University of
Cincinnati, Case Western Reserve University, and The Ohio State University.
Classes are taught by the faculty of the three universities. Can't attend?
You're in luck. Many of the presentations will be available on NetWellness.
