Kent State University School of Library and Information Science, =
Northern Ohio Technical Services Librarians (NOTSL) and the Technical =
Services Division of the Ohio Library Council have joined forces to =
sponsor a labor force survey for technical services and cataloging =
positions in Ohio. The survey is being distributed to technical =
services department managers in academic and public libraries in an =
attempt to estimate the need for positions in technical services and =
cataloging in the next five years. Completing the survey will provide =
important labor force information to the library community and assist =
the School of Library and Information Science in future planning.
The surveys were mailed today. If you receive a survey it should take =
you no more than 10 minutes to answer. We are asking that you return =
the survey by December 13, 2004. The survey is anonymous and entirely =
voluntary.=20
