NRG (Network Response Group) installed Novell Border Manager for Community
Library.

We have one IP address coming in to our system.
All the internal 30+ PC's & servers have 10.x.x.x addresses

The dedicated website pc is in a separate zone with read only access to the
website files from another file server.

The treasurer's PC is completely off the network. Hard to get any safer
than that.

I run ZoneAlarm on a portable and never get a hit while on the network.
But when on a modem it gets constant hits.

Our system has worked out quite well so far.

  Good day,

I am wondering what other libraries are using for their Firewall solution.
Ours has been in operation for over five years, and I would like to start
planning for its replacement before it decides to stop working. Putnam
County is a small to medium sized library. We do not have a webserver, or
an email server. Basically, we only use the firewall to block unwanted
access to our internal network. I would appreciate any responses.

  Thanks,
  Gary Plescher
