[OPLINLIST] patron question

A patron is trying to find a book that her grandmother read between 1940 
and 1943 that included a character that was a "little Indian girl" named 
Rowena.  Her grandmother named her daughter (patron's mother) after the 
character and my patron is searching for more information.  We could 
use  any information.......pub date, other characters, author, etc.  She 
knows it's not _Ivanhoe_, and she also knows Rowena was Native American 
and not from India.  Thanks for any help you can give.
