The Geauga County Public Library seeks a Head of Technical Services for =
its
very busy and innovative Technical Services Department. Over $1,000,000 =
in
materials are added to the collection annually, facilitated by the =
Technical
Services Department. This dynamic library system, located 25 miles east =
of
Cleveland (6 locations, mobile library service and an Administrative =
Center)
employs 108 FTE, circulates over 2,000,000 items serving 80,000 people =
and
has a budget of over $6,000,000. Our Head of Technical Services manages =
a
staff of 11 FTE and serves as part of the library system's management =
team.
Applicants must be able to facilitate the acquisition and organization =
of
materials in all formats to best meet the needs of our public. =
Collection
development expertise desirable as we move to a centralized selection
environment. MLS, public library technical services experience, and
excellent interpersonal skills necessary. Salary in the mid $30s to =
$50s.
