      Description

This event is co-sponsored by GCLC and the SLA Cincinnati Chapter.

Join us on Thursday, July 28, for Indian cuisine and a special 
presentation on India's oldest English-language lending library. The 
Madras Literary Society Library was founded in 1806 by the East India 
Company and still serves as a subscription library today.

Mr. VK Mohan, a member of the executive committee at the MLS Library, 
will show pictures and discuss the library's history, collections, 
services, and plans for the future. In addition, Mr. Mohan will have 
information on becoming a friend of the library.

GCLC and the SLA Cincinnati Chapter are underwriting the refreshments 
for this event. We are requesting a minimum donation of $15 (make checks 
payable to GCLC). The donations will be presented to the MLS Library to 
support restoration work and delivery services to seniors.

All interested guests are welcome to attend.


      Meal

A variety of Southern Indian specialities will be served.


      GCLC Member

A minimum donation of $15 is suggested.
