Register now for OHIONET's no-cost Nov. 10, 2005 Update session in
Akron. At our only fall update session, members and non-members can
quickly get up to speed by learning about OHIONET's numerous vendors
discounts, services, including workflow analysis consulting, as well as
recent and planned OCLC product enhancements. OHIONET staff will
highlight our growing list of distributors of quality products including
reference databases from more than 50 vendors.=20
Throughout the late morning and early afternoon sessions attendees will
better understand how OCLC's functionality and feature changes,
including Recorded Books e-AudioBooks, PromptCat, no-cost Batch
Reclamation services and other Cataloging and Resource Sharing options
could impact and benefit your organization's efficiencies. Through a
combination of presentations, demonstrations, handouts and question and
answer discussion segments, OHIONET staff will help you quickly navigate
the variety of options that are available to better meet your needs. =20
The schedule is as follows:=20
9:30 -10:00 am: Registration
10 am- noon: Overview of library product supplies and equipment
discounts, reference databases including new offerings, current trials,
and library program options.=20
Noon to 1 PM: lunch break=20
1-3:30 PM: Overview of OCLC cataloging, resource sharing, reference and
digital preservation/archive products/services.=20
Registrants can attend both or one of the sessions. Since seating is
