Appalachian Children's Literature for Librarians

On Thursday, October 6th, the Jesse Stuart Foundation in Ashland, in
cooperation with the FIVCO/Big Sandy Regional Library, will host the program
Appalachian Children's Literature for Librarians.  The speakers will be Judy
Sizemore of the Kentucky Arts Council and author of the books Appalachian
Literature, Appalachian Culture: Literature Based, Cross-Curricular
Activities for the Primary and Intermediate Classrooms and Appalachian
Literature, Appalachian Culture: Literature Based, Cross-Curricular
Activities for Middle and High School Classrooms

CEO and Senior Editor of the Jesse Stuart Foundation.

*	Catered Lunch (12:00-1:00)

*	Joint Session: Appalachian Children's Literature Programming for
Librarians (1:30-2:30) 
*	Breakout Sessions: Current Authors - Sizemore; Deceased Authors -
Gifford (2:30-4:00) 

A buffet lunch will be provided, priced at $8.00 per person.  Appalachian
music will be performed throughout the day, and Jesse Stuart Foundation
staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist participants.
