"Mr. Rothenberg, 50 years old, was convicted of attempted murder, arson and
other charges for pouring kerosene over his son, David, and setting the boy
on fire. David, who was 6 at the time, was severely disfigured from
third-degree burns over 90 percent of his body. A 1988 ABC-TV movie,
''David,'' depicted the attack.

I have a patron looking for a movie. She believes the name David may be in
the title. The movie is based on the true story of David Rothenberg, who was
6 years old in 1983. His father was angry at his mother, so he doused the
room, that David was sleeping in, with kerosene and set it ablaze. Davis has
recovered remarkably. This took place near Disneyland and Davis now resides
in Orange Co. California.

Was a movie made based on this story and if so, does anyone know the name of
it?
