Paul Yon and Ann Bowers are both retired from the Bowling Green State 
University (Ohio) Center for Archival Collections. They have many 
combined years of experience in the field of Archives Management and 
have been gracious to offer their talents for this workshop.


      Description

*This workshop is co-sponsored by the History and Archives Interest 
Group of GCLC.*

If you organization is about to celebrate an anniversary or milestone 
event, you may be called upon to gather historical items together to 
form an archives. Or, you may just want to clean up all that old stuff 
in the back room!

Join two experts in the field to learn the basics of starting an 
archival collection. Paul and Ann will help you get started and show you 
how to set things up right. They will tell you how to ask for the 
materials, what to ask for, and then what to do with everything once you 
have it!

This workshop has been specifically requested by GCLC members who are 
facing anniversary celebrations in the next few years. You won't want to 
miss it!
