(26 May) Statistics released by Nielsen/NetRatings show that Google handles
50 percent of queries run in the U.S. Yahoo follows with a distant 22
percent market share and MSN takes 11 percent of the market.

 

This seems like a good opportunity to refer librarians and other Internet
trainers to Jux2, a utility that compares search results in Google, Yahoo
and MSN. The comparison shows you what each search engine missed. It
illustrates that search results differ at different search engines and
underscores the need to use multiple search engines for thoroughness.
