[OPLINLIST] OHIONET Job Posting - Continuing Education Coordinator

OHIONET, a library membership organization based in Columbus, Ohio,
seeks a full-time Continuing Education Coordinator to administer a
program of continuing education to its 300+ member libraries.   

 

Responsibilities:  The Continuing Education Coordinator will be
responsible for planning and coordinating all continuing education
activities for a multitype library audience in Ohio and surrounding
states.  The ideal candidate will have experience working with staff and
adjunct trainers to develop content as well as the ability to personally
deliver information sessions, classroom and one-on-one training.
Knowledge of online course development and delivery methods is highly
desirable.  In addition to training, this staff member will also provide
limited support for selected OHIONET products and services.

 

Qualifications:  B.A. degree and training experience required; M.L.S.
preferred; minimum two years recent experience in a library setting;
proven knowledge of adult learning styles and training concepts;
knowledge of trends, issues, and technologies impacting libraries;
excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; strong customer
service orientation; ability to work with Advisory Councils, libraries,
and other library organizations.  Travel to libraries is required.  The
candidate must possess a valid State of Ohio Motor Vehicle Operator's
license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

 

Compensation:  Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Excellent benefits include 20 vacation days; 11 holidays; 12 days sick
leave; health, dental and vision insurance; and TIAA-CREF retirement
