[OPLINLIST] Circulating Videos

Gloria, we stopped purchasing videos one year ago (except for a few
replacement children's).  We had some weak complaints, but for the most part
our patrons realize that we have to keep technology as updated as possible.
We did not get rid of our current video collection, and it still circulates
enough to keep it around.  I have to admit we didn't get as many complaints
as I thought we would.

Hello.

We are considering discarding our videos and just circulating DVDs and we
would like to know if other libraries have done this or are planning to do
this.  I know this has been brought up before but we weren't considering
doing it at that time.

What problems did you experience or expect to experience?  Did you keep
"instructional" videos in your collection?
