Position Opening - Library Director

 

The Minerva Public Library is seeking an innovative and dynamic leader.
Minerva is located 20 miles East of Canton and serves a population of
13,000.  The library has an operating budget of roughly $900,000 and
circulates over 300,000 items per year.  The library was expanded and
completely renovated in 2003 and has a collection of over 100,000 items.

 

The Minerva Public Library Board will select a candidate with a vision for
the future, leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, experience
meeting the challenges of the expanding role of technology in the public
library, strong skills in developing community relations and the ability to
work with a dedicated staff committed to providing excellent service.

 

The position requires an MLS from an ALA accredited institution.  The salary
is negotiable and will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.  The
library also provides an excellent benefits package.
