In case you missed the notice this summer, here is a reminder that the
Gongwer Ohio Report is now available to librarians by way of a special
OPLIN listserv.

The daily Ohio Report provides detailed coverage of Ohio Statehouse news
and events. We are heading into what's expected to be a very busy October
legislative session, which will include lots of talks on electric
restructuring and the rates that consumers pay, expanded access to health
insurance, and school funding and operations; the Ohio Report is a
valuable tool for keeping informed about these discussions.

The special arrangement between Gongwer and OPLIN will provide public
librarians with an e-mail copy of the daily Ohio Report. Additionally,
members of the listserv will receive automated alerts that detail activity
on bills and issues of specific interest to the library community.

This arrangement does not extend to Gongwer’s other web-based services,
such as interactive bill tracking, legislative histories, communication
tools, archives or the other range of online services.

Gongwer will, however, grant library officials and patrons trial access to
these online services (www.gongwer-oh.com) upon request.

Please note that librarians who are members of the listserv may not
forward the Ohio Report to others or print them for sharing with the
general public.

To begin receiving the Ohio Report through the special OPLIN listserv,
send an e-mail to director at oplin.org and include information about your
Ohio public library affiliation, including your public library e-mail
address. (E-mail addresses from commercial services such as Hotmail,
Gmail, and Yahoo cannot be used for this special service.)
