Program Description:
Have you ever wondered how your users/customers use and feel about your
website? Which part of the site do they like or not like? What kinds of
navigation and search behaviors do they perform? Do they understand the
information you post on the website? And how is the website developed to
represent your organization? A good website design considers not only
aesthetic appearance, but also focuses on the functionality of the website
and the organization's mission statement.
The goal of this workshop is to introduce fundamental concepts, principles
and techniques for participants to evaluate their websites. How-to methods
covered will include user needs and task analyses, formal, portable and
informal usability testing. Techniques for data collection and analysis,
along with report creation and presentation will also be introduced.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with usability testing methods
and procedures.
