Anne E. Henry works for the American Cancer Society and is the Health 
Promotions Coordinator. She implements quality of life and survivorship 
programs within the community, and also recruits volunteers for programs 
and events for the American Cancer Society. Anne has also worked for the 
AIDS Resource Center Ohio and Planned Parenthood.


      Description

When a patron with cancer or a relative of someone with cancer walks 
into your library with cancer related questions, do you know how to best 
assist them? If not, please join us for a presentation about the 
American Cancer Society and its online resources.

Both Anne Henry and John Alduino will demonstrate how to best navigate 
and find information on the American Cancer Society's website. You will 
learn how to assist patron's on the following topics:
* History of the American Cancer Society
* Cancer Resource Network
* Local community resources
* Interactive Planning Tools
* Cancer research, treatment options, and other medical information

The Ohio Division of the American Cancer Society is making an effort to 
reach out to our community through area libraries this year. They would 
like to provide additional training and support materials. Attend this 
program to find out how to get connected to this effort.

You will also receive information to hand out at your library.
