In case you have not come upon this valuable resource, please check it
out at

Ohio's very own, Barbara Mates, Regional Librarian, Blind/Physically
Handicapped Library, Cleveland Public Library, was one of the
contributors to this informative work.

We all want to provide the best possible library service to all our
customers. Special thanks go to Barb and her colleagues for making
these tipsheets available to the entire library community.

Here is a description of what you will find at the above site:

The ASCLA "Library Accessibility -What You Need to Know" toolkit series
of fifteen tipsheets was developed to help librarians in all types of
libraries understand and manage access issues. These issues include but
are not limited to: patrons who have cognitive, mental, or emotional
illnesses; patrons with learning and/or developmental disabilities;
patrons with service animals; patrons needing assistive technologies and
patrons with physical disabilities. Each tipsheet addresses a specific
concern.

Best wishes,

Jo
