State Library Announces Availability of LSTA Funds for Statewide
Continuing Education Grants

The State Library is pleased to announce the availability of Library
Service and Technology Act (LSTA) Statewide Continuing Education grant
funds. The RFP has been posted at:

http://winslo.state.oh.us/publib/lstacerfp07.html

Under the LSTA Statewide Continuing Education grant program, two grant
rounds will be available each year. For this round, proposals are due
at the State Library by 4:00 p.m. March 5, 2008 for CE programs which
will take place between July 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.

In order to be funded, continuing education proposals must be made
available statewide. Funded proposals must include instructional
objectives with a clear methodology to meet those objectives and an
evaluation scheme to assess whether the learning objectives were met and
the impact this project will have on library staff and eventually,
library users. The following will not be considered for funding:
Projects which benefit only a local audience and Applications for
support of a keynote speaker. The State Library encourages partnership
and collaborative projects.

A maximum of $24,000 in federal funds may be requested. A cash match of
25% of the total project amount is required.
