[OPLINLIST] Reminder -- Deadline for Southern Ohio Teen Film and Video Festival is August 1

Hello all,

The Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library and the Southern Ohio
Storytelling Festival are pleased to bring the first-ever Southern Ohio Teen
Film and Video Festival to Chillicothe this coming September.

If you or teens you know aged 12-19 would like to submit a film for the
festival, the deadline is this coming August 1, 2008.  An entry
form/permission slip (.pdf format) is available online at www.crcpl.org.
Prizes will be awarded for outstanding entries.

Here are shortened guidelines for anyone interested in knowing more about
the Film Festival:

1) Films can be submitted in the following formats: digital video via email
(to Jay Wise at wiseja at oplin dot org), uploaded to youtube.com for
viewing online (please send a link to Jay Wise via email) , or DVD.  Movies
can be one of the following categories: animation; commercial; documentary;
experimental; feature; music video; or other.

2) Entries must be made available online or hard copies received by August
1, 2008.

3) All projects must be original work and have a running time of not more
than 10 minutes.

4) All entrants will need permission from a parent or guardian to
participate. An electronic version of the entry form will be available at
the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library website, www.crcpl.org/, for
download. Entrants must return a signed copy of the entry form to the
Library. Each teen
involved in the creation of the film must fill out an entry form. Groups may
submit their forms together.
