[OPLINLIST] Deadline Extended for the Southern Ohio Teen Film and Video Festival

Dear Ohio Youth Services Librarians, Teachers, and Teens:

The deadline for the first-ever Southern Ohio Teen Film & Video Festival has
been extended 10 days to Monday, August 11, 2008.

The Festival,  co-sponsored by the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library
and the Southern Ohio Storytelling Music and Arts Festival, is calling on
area youth to compete in two age groups - Younger Teens, ages 12-15, and
Older Teens, ages 16-19 to create original films in the following content
categories: animation, commercial, documentary, experimental, feature,
music, or “other.”  The films, no longer than 10 minutes, can be submitted
in the following formats: digital video via email; uploaded to
www.youtube.com for online viewing; or on DVDs mailed to Jay Wise c/o
Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library, 140 South Paint Street,
Chillicothe, OH 45601.

Entrants uploading films to youtube.com should send an email with the link
to their film to Jay Wise at wiseja at oplin.org.

Details and entry forms (.pdf versions) are available at all library
locations and online at www.crcpl.org and www.sostoryfest.com. A panel of
judges will choose “outstanding” entries for public viewing at the Majestic
Theatre during the Storytelling Festival and prizes will be awarded.
