[OPLINLIST] Connecting to Collections Bookshelf grant availability

The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the American
Association for State and Local History (AASLH) are pleased to announce
the second round of grants to receive the IMLS Connecting to Collections
Bookshelf.  

 

The Bookshelf is part of a multi-year, multi-faceted IMLS national
initiative to raise public awareness and inspire action to care for the
collections held in public trust by libraries and museums throughout the
United States.

 

Recipients will receive a core collection of 11 publications and five
additional publications focusing on specialized collections and library
preservation issues.  Smaller libraries are encouraged to apply as well
as larger libraries with special collections.

 

Applications are due by April 30, 2008.
