Greetings, friends!

Take a look at some of these upcoming Spring workshops!

Taking ILL to the Next Level-Columbus, OH

Is your Interlibrary Loan process in need of an overhaul? Are there some
aspects that could be improved? This workshop will help get you started. We
will go beyond the daily processing of ILL requests and look at some of the
tools that staff can use, talk about allowing users to place their own ILL
requests, clear up confusion about IFM (Interlibrary Loan Fee Management)
and interpret borrowing and lending reports that provide a wealth of data
about your library's activity.

In this session, we will cover special considerations for cataloging and
integrating resources and serials, including periodicals. We will focus
particularly on match points for copy cataloging and title changes by
looking at the principles, rules and tools for cataloging.

Demographics, Mapping, Marketing, and Technology: A Hands-On, Heads-Up
Workshop to Help You Plan for Your Library's Future-Columbus, OH

This workshop will give an introduction to demographics and marketing
techniques useful in analyzing your user base and planning for your
library's future. Whether you are rethinking collection priorities,
expanding library outreach activities, or even looking at options for the
location of a new branch, this workshop will provide you with the tools you
need to get started.

Using Bibliographic Software: A Primer-Columbus, OH

OHIONET and the Southeast Regional Library System (SERLS) are co-sponsoring
this workshop on using bibliographic software. Using bibliographic software,
a user can create personal bibliographical databases, search various online
catalogs, import search results from different online databases, create
general and subject bibliographies, and write a paper with the function of
"cite while you write." The benefits a librarian will gain from using these
types of programs will be discussed during the workshop.

Readers' Advisory: Tackling Tough Topics-Columbus, OH

Join us at OHIONET for a day-long Readers' Advisory event! This year, we're
tackling some of the tough topics that librarians are often asked about, and
discussing ways to deal with tough audiences that librarians have to face
when giving reading advice. The day will be broken into four
"mini-sessions."
