ADULT SERVICES MANAGER 



The Shaker Heights Public Library has a full time Adult Services Manager position open at the Main Library. Under general supervision, the Adult Services Manager directs the Main Library’s services to adults, develops and maintains the adult collections, and supervises the adult services staff. 



We are a busy, diverse, inner-ring suburban library. We are looking for an energetic, creative, experienced, flexible team player with a passionate commitment to outstanding customer service to lead this department through a time of change and innovation. The successful candidate will be collaborative and creative, with a demonstrated interest in applying new technologies to reference and library services, a win-win disposition, and a sense of humor. 



Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school and a minimum of three (3) years professional library experience in adult services with progressive levels of responsibility and supervision. Proven success at leading a team through change, excellent reference and computer skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as skill in organization, management and planning required. Experience working with diverse populations is a plus. This position works a variety of day, evening, and weekend hours.
