Bobbie Patridge from the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library has taught 
popular library repair for over 15 years. She is currently the 
supervisor of the Conservation and Processing departments at TLCPL. 
Bobbie has been repairing books for over 25 years.


      Description

Want to get a little more life from your paperbacks? Need a few more 
circs on your best sellers before they fall apart? Want to learn a few 
tricks to keep your collection looking good? If so, this is the class 
for you!

This class is loaded with useful information on how to keep your 
circulating items on the shelves for as long as possible. There will be 
a chance to learn a few "hands on" techniques that will help you get the 
most from your collection.

This class is for popular materials repair only. Archival repair will 
not be covered in this class. Please bring 3-5 items that you would like 
to repair. Discards are ideal. Bring your bad books, your good ideas, 
and plan on having fun while learning some mending basics!

*As part of the workshop fee you will receive a mending kit to get you 
started on whipping your collection into shape!*
