[OPLINLIST] Author Michelle Houts to visit Mercer County Library

Hi everyone! Local author and educator, Michelle Houts will be featured
here at the Mercer County Library in Celina on Thursday morning, June 11th
at 10:30. Her first book, "The Beef Princess of Practical County" has
recently been published by Random House, and is getting wonderful reviews!
Check out her website at www.michellehouts.com  She is engaging, witty and
would be a great author to feature at your library. "The Beef Princess of
Practical County" centers around 12-year old Libby Ryan, who is trying to
step out from the shadow of her older brother by showing her first steers
at the Practical County Fair. Libby also must contend with the Darling
Sisters, who make a delightful trio of villans. Michelle will read
portions of the book, tell about her inspiration, and have a presentation
on the process of writing and having a book published. She will have
copies available for purchase and will be signing afterwards. Children
ages 8 and up will be especially interested and the event is free and open
