POSITION AVAILABLE:  FISCAL OFFICER

 

The Massillon Public Library seeks a full-time Fiscal Officer to manage its financial operations.  The Fiscal Officer will be responsible for certification and distribution of library funds; preparing financial reports; annual budget preparation; investments; coordinating audits with State Auditors; supervising production of payroll and accounts payable.

 

Massillon Public Library has an annual budget of approximately $2 million.  It is comprised of the main library, 2 branches and a bookmobile and has 50+ employees.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

At least one of the following: Bachelor's degree in accounting or other directly related field with three (3) years of directly related experience required.  Four (4) years of directly related experience, preferred.  (OR) Associate's degree in accounting or other directly related field with seven (7) years of directly related experience required.  Eight (8) years of directly related experience, preferred.  

 

Knowledge and experience in library fund accounting, particularly UAN, desirable.

Knowledge of ADP payroll processing.

Supervisory experience, a plus.

Able to be bonded and pass background check.
