Hello,

Our library is trying to reevaluate the length of time we keep certain magazines in storage. We have several titles that have been stored for decades and were occasionally bound. We need to decide how long we should even be keeping these magazines, and if binding the complete sets would be worth the cost.

I appreciate any information on how long other libraries keep magazines of this sort, and whether anyone still invests in binding them. If you've decided not to keep bound magazines, what did you do with them?

Examples are:
Life- 1939-2000 bound up to 1957
Look-1957-1971 not bound
National Geographic- 1910 to date, bound up to 1988
Newsweek- 1950 to date, bound from 1972 to 1988
Time- 1925 to date, bound up to 1989

Thanks!
