The Delaware County District Library has an immediate opening for the Powell
Branch Manager. This position reports to the Deputy Director and
collaborates closely with the Youth Services Manager. Primary duties are
managing the daily functions of the 5,000 square foot branch, supervising a
staff of 6 (3.25 FTE), developing and presenting children's and family
programs, and serving as the primary public relations person for the library

DCDL places a high value on friendly customer service and has an active
program of service to children, teens and parents. The successful candidate
will have a strong customer service focus, the ability to hold children’s
attention during programs, the ability to multitask, and excellent verbal
communication skills. At least 3 years of progressive supervisory and
management experience.  Masters of Library and Information Science or other
relevant education may substitute for some experience.

Starting salary is $17.98 - $25.34 per hour, with generous benefits and a
strong institutional commitment to continuing education. This is a full-time
