The Delaware County District Library has an immediate opening for a
Children’s Specialist at the Main library in Delaware. This position reports
to the Youth Services Manager. Primary duties are programming for children,
assisting at the children’s information desk, creating displays and some
clerical tasks.

DCDL places a high value on friendly customer service and has an active
program of service to children, teens and parents. The successful candidate
will have a strong customer service focus, the ability to hold children’s
attention during programs, the ability to multi-task, and excellent verbal
communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required; experience working with
children and experience in libraries preferred.

The salary is $11.99 - $20.11 per hour, with generous benefits and a strong
institutional commitment to continuing education. This is a full-time
