The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) has announced a
delay in the E-Rate FY2011 Form 471 filing window and release of the new
online application.  USAC is anticipating the release of the new forms
and opening of the filing window to occur on January 11, 2011.  

 

Due to this delay, the E-Rate 471 workshop has been rescheduled.  The
Form 471 workshop has been rescheduled for January 10, 2011 from 9:30
-12:00.  If you previously registered for one of the December workshops,
your registration will automatically be transferred to the January date
at the location you originally selected.  If you would like to register
for the Form 471 workshop and had not previously done so, you may go to:
http://www.library.ohio.gov/event to register. 

 

Additional E-Rate Informaiton:

eTech Ohio Technology Plan Addendum in now available

 

The eTech Ohio Commission voted to adopt the FCC 6th Report and Order,
Technology Plan rule, eliminating the technology plan requirement for
all Priority One (Telecommunication Service and Internet Access)
applications.  A certified technology plan will continue to be required
for Priority Two (Internal Connections and Basic Maintenance) E-Rate
funding requests. eTech Ohio continues to serve as the state's
certifying entity for Ohio K-12 public Local Education Agency's (LEA)
district technology plans.

 

If applying for Priority Two funding, the items requested on the Form
470 must be written into the technology plan prior to submitting the
application.  If your currently approved technology plan needs to be
updated to meet the Form 470 requirement, please use the new Addendum
process.  Information and directions can be found at

Approval of the plan/addendum is required by the beginning of the
funding year, July 1, 2011.
