[OPLINLIST] REMINDER: Apply for a 2011 Northern Ohio Technical Services Librarians (NOTSL) Scholarship - Deadline 6 December 2010!!!

NOTSL invites all interested library staff and students to apply for one
of our technical services- related scholarships.  Go to a conference,
learn a new skill, enjoy a profession known for supporting life-long
learning!!!

 

Applicants must either be currently working in an Ohio library in a
professional or support position in a technical services area, or be
students (residing or studying in Ohio) currently taking coursework in
librarianship.  

The content of the proposed educational activity must relate to
technical services topics which may include, cataloging, serials,
acquisitions, preservation, processing, or management of technical
services.  Typically funded activities can include costs for workshops,
conferences, coursework, professional meetings, or research, however,
not for training required by an employer.   This can be for both in
person and online opportunities.  Awards can range from $100 to $500.
Total awards are usually between $1,000 and $1,500.
