Bookmobile Driver/Clerk - Grade 4 (Full-time vacancy)


Outreach Services, Newark Library, Newark, Ohio

 

Under the supervision of the Outreach Supervisor and based out of the
Newark Library, drives Library bookmobile and performs clerical/public
service duties on the Bookmobile and at outreach service points served
by the Licking County Library.

 

This is a full-time position - 37.5 hours per week, 75.0 hours per pay
period.  The successful candidate will be scheduled to work 5-7.5 hour
days and/or evenings, Monday through Saturday, with a daily unpaid
meal-break at the discretion of the supervisor of 30 or 60 minutes.  The
successful candidate, if needed, could be required to work additional
hours on Sundays at the Newark Library.

Note:  Must possess valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B

 

Pay-Rate

The pay for this position starts at $804.49 on bi-weekly basis
($10.7265/hour) - Grade 4, Step A.  There are 10 unpaid furlough days
during the year.  The Library's fringe benefit package is also available
to the successful candidate.

 

Probationary Period

The first 6 months in this position are considered probationary in
nature.  The successful applicant's performance will be reviewed at 6
months.  If the employee's performance is not satisfactory, the employee
can be terminated or the probationary period may be extended for a
maximum of three more months, if, in the opinion of the Library, it
seems the employee needs more time to show they can perform at the
expected level.  If the employee's performance is still not satisfactory
at the end of this second probationary period, their employment with the
Library will be terminated.
