The Ohioana Library is sponsoring this year's first ReadAloud
<http://library.osu.edu/news/2010-fall/>  for the Ohio State University
Libraries next Thursday, September 30th. 

 

Ohio authors Robert Olmstead and Lisa Klein will be reading from their
novels that are 2011 Choose to Read Ohio
<http://oh.webjunction.org/ohctrointro>  selections: Klein's Two Girls
of Gettysburg and Olmstead's Coal Black Horse.  Both books explore the
effects of the Civil War on young people.  Use of these books in the
classroom and library programming can tie in with Ohio Civil War 150
<http://www.ohiocivilwar150.org/>  initiatives.  Come enjoy the authors,
then explore the resources that Choose to Read Ohio and Ohio Civil War
150 offer for your planning and programming!  

 

The reading will take place on Thursday the 30th from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.,
in Room 202 of the newly renovated Thompson Library

campus in Columbus.  Visitor parking is available in the nearby Neil
Avenue garage
